Antici...

3.5.13

...pation.

Ah, the anticipation!  Duane will be here Saturday, and I cannot wait! :D  Although the week is already going by faster than I thought it would, which is nice.

I think everything is finally all booked, too... We just need a hostel for the two nights after we get back from Paris.  PARIS.  'Cause, y'know, we're going there.  Today I purchased two tickets to go all the way to the tippy top of the Eiffel Tower (to skip the lines... and I'm glad I did!  There was already only one time slot available that day).  We'll be there next Thursday, at 4:30pm.  CRAZY.  Absolutely loco.  I literally cannot imagine it.  It's too much unbelievable stuff.  I can't imagine actually having Duane here with me, and I can't imagine being in PARIS, let alone *with* Duane!  Dear Lord, please let us have a good, safe trip... 'cause I'm really really looking forward to it :D

There's not much else for me to say on here for now (though there will be a lot to talk about after the 17th)... I've been well again for a while, hoo-ray, and my cough is even finally gone.  School classes are more or less the same as ever... I've really been enjoying all my private lessons lately.  They can be more satisfying than my other classes, since I actually get to plan them/am in control of them.  Though it was extremely nice of my school to let me have next week off because Duane is visiting.  (I think they've been looking forward to it almost as much as I have... They've asked me about it almost every week since I told them he'd be coming in November... I think they're actually disappointed they won't get to meet him haha.)

What else could I update on here... Oh, it was 60 DEGREES here today.  So exciting.  Went jogging for the first time in forever to celebrate (because it also didn't rain-- double win!).  Haven't really taken any more good/guay pictures lately... Except for this one, which I'll leave here for those of you not on facebook:

Roman Wall.  I've gotten pretty used to seeing this thing; it'll be weird when my view goes back to mostly oak trees and Spanish moss jeje.

And I guess that's it for now.  You probably won't hear from me again for a couple weeks, but I promise lots of stories and photos when I come back! :)

P.S. Fun facts:  I learned today that at Galician weddings, it's customary to eat for 4-5 hours and dine on about 6 courses.  Wow.  Also, my bus trip from Lugo to Madrid is going to be almost as long as Duane's flight from Miami to Madrid (his flight is 8 hours 45 minutes, and my ride is 7 hours... so I guess maybe that's not "almost as long," depending on your definition of "almost," but it seems ridiculous to me... ah well.  Worth it!  I splurged on a Supra ticket [express bus] for the way home, though, where I'll have nothing but exhaustion and my bed waiting for me).
