My Carnaval post is going to be humongous.
I'm sorry I haven't gotten it up here yet, but there's so much to write! I've written a page and a half so far, and that only takes us up to where we arrived in Cádiz... (don't worry, I'm going to edit it for here. I'm just working on an exhaustive account for myself because I don't want to forget anything).
So, unfortunately (family, I imagine I'm just talking to you), you'll probably have to wait another day for that :-/
But in the meantime I can show you/tell you about the little things that have happened since I've been back in Lugo! There's not a lot, but the past 2 days have been absolutely gorgeoussss here. Like, sunshine-y, walk-around-with-only-a sweater-and-no-coat-on gorgeous. It's really helped me hold onto the good mood leftover from my trip. I've spent a lot of time walking around outside and taking pictures because of this:
See?? Beautiful!
Postcard-like view of the city from up on the wall.
Julia & I heard and then saw goats while walking home from the grocery store yesterday... In the city...
LOOK HOW PRETTY THIS IS.
OK. Tomorrow. Tomorrow I will get my Carnaval adventures up here. Hopefully you guys find them as awesome/interesting as I did jeje.
Also happy things: Valentine's Day was 2 days ago, and Wednesday night
when I got home from Cádiz, there was a package from Duane waiting and
also a card from Nanny & Grampy; the next day another card arrived and I
got a couple emails :D. Thank you so much, guys. You make me feel
loved even though I'm so far away from you <3 (And for those of you
wondering, Duane did excellently... chocolates, peanut butter, a lovely
card, & two beautiful new charms for my bracelet :D) And speaking
of mailing things, Duane's birthday was 4 days ago, and the package I
sent arrived safely the day before his birthday-- whoo! I was a little
worried since the Spanish correos website stopped telling me where it
was after it left the country. I'd like to think I succeeded in
surprising him ;)
The clouds stopped the sunset from being spectacular tonight... I'm positive it was breath-taking behind those freaking nubes. They also (mostly) prevented a friend & I from seeing the asteroid last night... Gahh, Galicia.
OK. Tomorrow. Tomorrow I will get my Carnaval adventures up here. Hopefully you guys find them as awesome/interesting as I did jeje.
I just love the pics :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it has been SO LOVELY here! I want it to keep it up haha
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are daisies. c:
ReplyDeleteAre they? They're so tiny! On a side note, I recently found out/realized that margarita means daisy. So many things in life make sense now. jaja.
